It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Antonia (Toni) Lozinski on April 29, 2026, in her 91st year. Toni was predeceased by her husband Nicholas in 2006, and also by six of her eight siblings. Toni is survived by: her four children, Judy (Doug Ewart), Steven (Lucie Morin), Kathy (Doug Yates), and Michael (Dayna); was “Baba” to nine grandchildren, Kyle (Melodie McGovern), Chad, Marc, Daniel (Nadia), Patrick (Sonya), Nick, Kieley (Denver Daughdrill), Laura (Luke Harris), and Kevin, as well as two great-grandchildren, Lucas and Emma, with one more on the way.
Toni was born in Ukraine to Stefan and Anastasia Mucha, late of Portage la Prairie, MB, but they emigrated to Canada when she was just two months old. She was raised on farms in Saskatchewan and Manitoba before moving to Windsor, ON, where she met and married Nick. They worked together for many years in his company, Manutec Steel Industries Ltd., in Brampton while living on a hobby farm outside of Ballinafad, ON. In her younger years she was a dedicated Cub Scout leader, as well as an accomplished alley bowler and curler. Toni was known for her enormous vegetable garden and wide variety of preserves, and had the knack of growing beautiful roses. She and Nick retired to Georgetown in 2003 and spent their retirement years visiting grandchildren, lawn bowling, and volunteering at the Georgetown Seniors Centre and CASHH. She was a tireless and generous member of the numerous clubs and societies she belonged to and always believed in making a positive impact anywhere she could help.
Most recently Toni has been living in retirement and long term care communities in Kitchener, ON. We wish to thank the incredible staff at AgeCare West Williams for making her last days so comfortable. The family will be holding a private memorial ceremony at Jones Funeral Home in Georgetown in her honour on Tuesday, May 5. However, if you wish to make a charitable donation in her memory, gifts to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, or Diabetes Canada, would be very much appreciated.
