Marrows, Anthony Basil (Tony) –

Peacefully, on Friday December 6, 2024 at the Georgetown Hospital. Tony, in his 85th year, beloved husband of Joyce for 62 years. Loving father of Paul (Julie), Peter (Sue), Robert (Min Zhang) and the late Alison. Loving father-in-law of John. Loved grandpa of Courtney, Sally, Mandy, Kristina, David, Jessica, Alicia, Natasha, Eric, Rachel, Ethan and the late Jeremy. Dear great grandpa of Megan, Madison, Alison, Lilly, Aurora, Theodore, Simon, Adam, Zach, Orion, Theren and Talon. Fondly remembered by his extended family in England. Tony and Joyce had many wonderful travel adventures over the years and made new friends everywhere they went. For many years, Tony and Joyce were active members of the Acton Seniors Centre and he will be missed by friends there. Tony was an avid reader, enjoyed fishing, the outdoors, travelling, playing darts and sports. Tony will be forever remembered by his family as a very intelligent, hard working and outgoing person with a wonderful sense of humour and big heart. He had a smile and a joke for everyone he met.

A Celebration of Tony’s Life will be held in the Trafalgar Room at the Jones Funeral Home, 11582 Trafalgar Road, Georgetown (905) 877-36631 on Sunday December 15, 2024 from 2-4 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to Cancer Assistance Halton Hills or the Alzheimer Society would be appreciated.
