Milando, Anna (nee Larocca) - Passed away peacefully at the Credit Valley Hospital on Tuesday, June 30th, at the age of 53. For thirty wonderful years, Anna has been the beloved wife of Joseph, and the caring mother of Chris and Deanna. Anna was the cherished daughter of Celeste and the late Angelo Larocca, and dear sister to Nick (Ida) Larocca and Danny (Jan) Larocca. The adored daughter-in-law of Grace and the late Sam Milando, and much-loved sister-in-law of Phyllis (Robert) Mirtsou. She will be dearly missed by all of her nieces, nephews and friends. A life taken before its time, Anna will fondly be remembered for her optimism, generosity, and genuinely caring spirit. Her positive attitude and smiles were contagious, and had a way of brightening up any and every room she walked into. More than a mother, Anna was a wise teacher, inspiring role-model, and the greatest supporter of the two children she lived her life for. To Joseph, Anna may be described as his greatest inspiration, his pillar of support, his source of joy, his lifelong friend, and the light that guided his life. But Anna meant more than any words could ever express - she was everything, and can and will never be forgotten. The family wishes to extend their deepest gratitude to the staff of the Credit Valley Hospital's palliative care ward for their incredible care and support of Anna. Friends will be received at the J.S. Jones & Son Funeral Home on 11582 Trafalgar Road, north of Maple Avenue, Georgetown, on Friday, July 3rd, from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. A Funeral Mass will be held at Holy Cross Catholic Church, 14400 Argyll Road, Georgetown, on Saturday, June 4th, at 10am with cremation to follow. In lieu of flowers, contributions to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society of Canada would be appreciated. To send expressions of sympathy, please visit www.jsjonesandsonfuneralhome.com.
