Penton, Alida Anna (nee Egmond) - Peacefully on Tuesday, May 10, 2016 at Woodhall Park Care Community in her 96th year. Lydia arrived in Canada a war bride in 1946. She worked at the CIBC as a secretary until her retirement. During her career, Lidia was a friend to many, especially Audrey Turner. She served as a telephone prayer counsellor with 100 Huntley Street for 10 years, always staying true to her faith. Dearly missed as a mother by Annmary (Farley Charles), a grandmother by Trevor (Jodi), Cameron (Roanne) and Fraser (Carla), and a great grandmother by Mason, Brenna, Etta, Cleo, Sawyer and Tatum. Predeceased by husband Townley McLean Penton and brothers Hessel and Gerald Egmond. In memoriam contributions to 100 Huntley Street are appreciated.
