Agnes Taylor

Agnes Taylor, in her 99th year, of Georgetown, Ontario passed away peacefully on July 5, 2022 in Vancouver, British Columbia. She is dearly held in our hearts forever. Agnes was born in Hamilton, Scotland to Mary and James Forrest on November 9, 1923. She participated in the war effort in Scotland in the 1940s before moving to Canada with her husband David in 1954. She was active in St. Andrews United Church for many years and also volunteered with the Red Cross in Georgetown. Agnes is survived by her daughter Alison Taylor of Vancouver, son Ross Taylor of Toronto, grandchildren Robyn and Kieran Taylor-Neu, and sister Jeanette Polie. She is predeceased by her husband David Taylor, and eleven siblings. Agnes is forever remembered for her kindness and affability. Memorial donations may be made to St. Andrews United Church, Georgetown or to the Canadian Red Cross. The family wishes to extend their gratitude to caregivers at Windermere Care Home in Vancouver and to members of St. Andrews for their care and support. A Memorial Service will be held on August 29, 2022 at 2 pm at St. Andrews United Church in Georgetown. Interment will follow at Greenwood Cemetery, 100 King Street, Georgetown.
